Who am I?

I thought my third post was a good time to introduce myself, not too keen and not too aloof. In answer to the above question, my name is Georgina. I am also twenty-six years old and I live in Australia.
Only last night I was playing ‘Celebrity Heads’ with my housemates and I realised it’s definitely a game of categories. Questions included, Am I alive? Am I female? Am I Australian? Am I under the age of 50? Yes, yes, yes, yes. While this stuff is important for guessing the celebrity’s name plastered on your head, or answering a passenger arrival card, it’s not really the best way to get to know someone. I’d much rather know their favourite outdoor activity, what their favourite city is, and what they wanted to be when they grew up. There’s a time and place for small talk and it’s not in this post.
The below questions I’ve taken from some ‘getting to know you’ quizzes, and the below answers are wholly my own.
What’s your favourite breakfast food?
Rolled oats with cinnamon, honey and fresh fruit.
What skill would you like to master?
I’d like to become better at cooking. I have the basics and am slowly teaching myself new recipes and techniques.
What’s your favorite 90’s show?
Friends.
What’s something you like to do the old-fashioned way?
At University I couldn’t bring myself to type lecture or tutorial notes on my laptop. I always preferred putting pen to paper.
Any upcoming travel plans?
Yes, two weeks in New Zealand (leaving tomorrow!) and in a few months I’m doing a five day trek in the Northern Territory, Australia.
What kitchen appliance do you use everyday?
The Kettle, to make cups of peppermint tea.
What book impacted you the most?
Silver Wattle by Belinda Alexandra. I read it when I was 16 and it got me interested in migration histories.
What did you last watch on Netflix?
The Crown and a short series called Broken
Apart from people, what has been the biggest constant in your life?
Irish Dancing. I started when I was 6 years old and did my last competition when I was 23.

London, Liverpool, Berlin, Chicago, Hanoi, La Paz, Kyoto.

I hope that gives enough of a taster for what I love to talk about. Let me know your answer to any of the above questions!
